Summer

I can't wait for summer just 2 months until I can go to the pool all the time. School has been so hard I feel like I'm going to break my head from thinking so hard! In June or July my brother Keaton and my mom get to go to China and get my new sister Kacee. My dad got the Blind Side and the Fantastic Mr. Fox and Sherlock Holmes. They were all pretty good shows and the Fantastic Mr. Fox was pretty funny. Last night I had my friend spend the night at my house and we watched the Fantastic Mr. Fox and then after that we watched the Blind Side. Right now my brother is grounded and he can't play any video games so he's sitting on the floor in the living room playing some kind of monkey game. I'm in the middle of a really hard really long portfolio and its taking forever I worked on it for an hour today! Now my brother wants me to play his game with him but it's like the same thing every time, we both pull out sticks until wichever one of us who is unlucky (mostly my brother Keaton) makes all of the monkeys fall and loses. Now my mom and my sisters and Keaton and the girl that we babysit are all cleaning the front room (boring). I went swimming earlier with my grandma and then we went to get ice cream. After we went to get ice cream we went the Fed Ex store next door and right when we were done mailing my grandma's package my dad came in and mailed some books! I was so surprised to see him that I nearly dropped my ice-cream cone, and then my grandma asked him if he wanted to take me home instead of her. Good Friday has been pretty good and the days surrounding it have okay too, all together it was a pretty good week. I can't wait for Easter in just 2 days! We went to the mall this morning and my little sisters Kenzie and Karli got their pictures taken with the e Easter bunny. It is almost my birthday! My birthday is on April 14th, and I will turn 11. I have already got $45 dollars from my Grandma Poole and my Grandma Peggy, and I still have my sleep over party. For my sleep over party I am going to invite 8 people and we are going to go to Bella Beads and then get pizza and stay up all night long watching movies and playing board games.

I do a new school now; it's on the computer. Kayla and Keaton do it 2. Karli goes to preschool now, but Kenzie's too small so she stays home and does work there. Kenzie and Karli still fight sometimes, but their language is much better now. I can't believe its already been 2 weeks of school so far.

My trip to Beijing

I am having a lot of fun in Beiing. First we went to the silk factory. Then we went to the Temple of Heaven. After that, the funnest part that we did was the Great Wall because we went up on a ski lift and we came down on a toboggan type slide. We went twice since it was so much fun. We also went as fast as it would go. We're about to go on an airplane to Nanjing. Then we will stay there for 1 week. I got new toys and a new silk dress and comforter. It's very comfortable. There's also a 3 year old girl named Kylee and a 9 year old like me for me to play with. Tomorrow we get my baby sister, Karli. I got some silkworm cocoons, but they are dead. I also got some things that looks like a keychain and mean Good Luck and Good Fortune. When we got off the very, very long plane ride, they lost my luggage. I had to sleep in my clothes. I didn't get it back until the next day, very late at night.

New Pictures of Karli

We received new pictures of Karli. These were taken yesterday. She looks so cute.

Wow!  Can you believe August 2 marked 1 whole year since we got Kenzie's referral? I can't. Time passes so much faster with Kenzie here.  I don't know why.  I can always play with her except for she's napping. I hate it when she naps. I have to be really quiet, and it's no fun. 

So, remember my last update when I said my mom was going alone to get Karli?  Well I was wrong.  My dad said if I could earn $1,500 in 4 or 5 months I could go too! So far it's only been about 2 and a half months and I've earned $1030.33 already.  I am earning the money by dog sitting other people's dogs.  I am also weaving pot holders to sell.

When I'm in China, I want to go on the Great Wall.  I am going to use some of the money I've earned for souveniers.  I am going to try to earn $500 extra dollars in addition to the $1,500, so I can buy a camera to take on my trip.  I am excited that my mom and I will be the first ones from our family to see Karli.  I can't wait to ride an airplane.  I've ridden one before, but I was a toddler, so I don't remember.  The ride will probably be boring on the way there.  On the way back, I'll have to help with Karli, so I'll be busy.

Last night my grandma spent the night with us.  There was a tropical storm heading for Houston, and my grandma lives in a trailer.  She did not want to stay at her trailer in case the winds were too strong.  However, the only thing we got was a lot of rain.
